Regional Project
In this project, we were given different choices of all the different regions of the world. Some of the choices that stuck out to me were Asia, Africa, Australia and Oceania, and Europe. Europe was one of my top choices and luckily I was assigned to work on it along with a group. The next step in this project was to choose which country to focus on within your region. The country that my group and I ended up deciding upon was Germany. It wasn't my first choice, but it was one of the countries that my whole group agreed on.
Our immediate end goal we all decided was to create a power point presentation. After my group and I had decided our goal, our next action was to split up the work and create our own slides individually. My group and I then started brainstorming different ways to divide up the work. Someone came up with the idea of doing time periods, but we then decided against because Germany hadn't been around as long as some other European countries. After more brainstorming we finally decided that we were going to split up the work based on what we were all interested in. Daven was interested in the warfare of Germany, Jackson was interested in the General history of the country, Conner wanted to know to about what Germany was known for (reputation,) and I wanted to learn about the culture of Germany.
In the end we came out with very nice and clean slides and were all able to present what we thought was interesting about Germany. What I learned was that before you're able to work individually on a group project you must come together as a team in order to get the job done.
