Spanish Video #2
Reflection
In my second Spanish video, my partner Claire and I decided that we wanted to talk about books. My partner Claire did a good job of keeping the conversation going and pushing through in short moments of silence by asking a question. I think I did a good job of sounding natural during the video, and pretending it was a normal conversation I could have any day. What worked well in the video was the subject matter; books. We had a lot to talk about when it came to books and there weren't many pauses during the video. One problem we had was our reliance on questions to keep the conversation moving forward. There could have been more in depth answers to the questions. Going into this conversation, I was practicing mostly verb conjugation with regular and irregular verbs and I had practiced certain vocabulary on Quizlet to become more familiarized in the most common words in Spanish. One of the more difficult parts of Spanish is remembering certain verb conjugations. I'm still not certain that I am able to make perfect conjugations while I am speaking with someone off the cuff. For me practicing outside of the classroom usually involves memorization of certain vocab and conjugation. I'm hoping in the next video I will be able to conjugate more naturally in conversation in order to sound more natural and correct in my language.
