Video #1 Final Prep
In this video, my partner Taylor and I talked about how school is soon coming to an end and how we are tired of it. The conversation continued and then we spoke of plans we have over the summer. Definitely since the beginning of the year my Spanish has improved immensely and I can understand and basic conversation. I hope that someday I will be able to continue my Spanish learning and become fluent in the language.
Video #2 Final Prep
The best tools that have helped me learn and know Spanish are the conversations that I have had with my friends in Spanish. My partner in the video, Emily, is going to be doing the Final with me. I chose her as a partner because we have a similar family background, because we are both from Sweden and we have a lot to say about this subject. What we have been doing to practice for our final is writing down what we plan to say and have been practicing it over and over again. We are practicing our Spanish by speaking back and forth in our free time. The purpose of doing these videos is so that we can practice the conversation we are going to have during our final and help plan out what more we want to say in the final.
Since the beginning of the semester I have improved so much in my Spanish conversation. When I first entered the classroom I knew nothing, let alone pronunciation. But now I feel that I can have a basic Spanish conversation and identify different words in sentences, getting an idea of what a conversation in Spanish is about. I think now that if i ever meet someone new I'll be able to know where they're from, what their name is, how big their family is, and get a general idea of how their life is.
I have never really seen any Spanish movies or videos, but I do sometimes listen to Spanish music when it comes on the radio. through the music I've partly recognized how they pronounce words so that I can recognize when someone is speaking Spanish.
The difference between the second video and the first video is that in the first video my partner and I talked about what we planned to do over the summer. In the second video my partner and I practice for our Spanish Final. In our Spanish Final we plan to Skype one of my partner's cousins and speak in Spanish and Swedish to her to demonstrate different pronunciations of the same language.

Spanish Final
This class has opened me up to different languages and just a different understanding of how people speak and say everything differently. I love that I got to learn more about how different languages are from each other. It was interesting how Emily's cousin, Annie, (who's Swedish) pronounced her Spanish a bit differently than we pronounced our Spanish. Her Swedish accent came through definitely and I'm sure our American Accents came through. This class makes me want to learn more Spanish, more Swedish, and more everything. It's opened more doors of curiosity in my mind about language. I want to learn more about the culture behind languages and travel more. My expectations coming to this class was that it would be hard and stressful. It was a difficult class, but I didn't expect it to be as interesting or educational. I also thought coming into the class that I would pass the class and never use Spanish again But I think I want to learn more Spanish and more languages in general. I think that learning different languages is interesting because everyone has a different pronunciation based on the environment they were raised in.
